Investment casting is a relatively advanced casting production process popular in recent years. Today, I would like to introduce ceramic precision casting. The utility model relates to a casting method for producing castings by making a casting mold with ceramic slurry. The ceramic slurry is composed of ethyl silicate hydrolysate and fine refractory sand such as fused quartz, zircon and corundum with pure texture and high thermal stability. In order to make the ceramic slurry gelatinize in a short time, calcium hydroxide or magnesium oxide is often added as a catalyst. Since the composition and appearance of the refractory used are similar to those of ceramics, it is called ceramic type.

Ceramic mold precision casting is a new technology developed on the basis of ordinary sand mold casting. Ceramic mold precision casting can be divided into two types.

1. The ceramic mold is made of ceramic slurry. The manufacturing process is to first fix the pattern on the molding board, coat the sand box, then pour the adjusted ceramic slurry into the sand box, lift the mold after the bonding and hardening, and then bake it at high temperature to become the casting mold.

2. Use the bushing and pour ceramic slurry into the gap between the bushing and the pattern to make the mold. The bushing can be either sand or metal. Pouring ceramic shell with bushing can save a lot of ceramic slurry, which is widely used in production.

The surface roughness of ceramic mold precision casting parts can reach Ra10~1.25 μ m, and the dimensional accuracy can reach 3~5 levels, which can achieve the purpose of little or no cutting. Ceramic mold precision casting has short production cycle and high metal utilization rate, so it is more suitable for making various molds, and its service life is longer.
