Different classification of steel castings
Some people are curious about the classification of steel casting manufacturers? For some machine parts with high strength and high plasticity and toughness, steel castings must be used. Its output is only second to that of cast iron, accounting for about 15% of the total. How can these large quantities be classified?
We all know that cast steel can be divided into several types, including carbon cast steel and alloy cast steel. Many of these manufacturers are mainly carbon cast steel castings, accounting for more than 80%.
1. Carbon cast steel: in general, the melting point of low carbon steel ZG15 is relatively high and the casting property is poor, which can only be used to manufacture several parts or carburized parts; Medium carbon steel has good comprehensive properties of cast iron, high strength, good plasticity and good toughness, which can be suitable for manufacturing castings with slightly regular shape and high strength and toughness requirements; The melting point of high carbon steel is slightly lower, but its casting performance is much better than that of medium carbon steel, and its plasticity and toughness are relatively poor, so it is more suitable for manufacturing a few wear-resistant castings.
2. The alloy cast steel will be determined according to the total amount of alloy elements. The alloy cast steel will be divided into low alloy steel and high alloy steel. The steel casting manufacturer will introduce to you:
(1) Low-alloy cast steel is mainly manganese steel, manganese silicon and chromium series. It can be used to cast more complex and high-strength steel castings, such as gears, wheels and rotors.
(2) High alloy steel has strong wear resistance, heat resistance and corrosion resistance. Among them, high manganese steel is a kind of wear-resistant steel, which is mainly used for manufacturing parts used under dry friction working conditions. For example, the front wall of the grab bucket of a common excavator or the crawler of a tractor, among which chrome nickel stainless steel and chrome stainless steel are also highly resistant to nitric acid corrosion, and are mainly used to manufacture parts of equipment such as chemical industry, petroleum, chemical fiber and food.
