How Is Sand Casting Made?
Are you curious about how a precision metal part is born from a pile of ordinary sand? Sand Casting, this long-standing process that is still active in modern industry, is a core technology of our factory. Sand Casting, as the name suggests, is to make a mold with sand, then pour molten metal into it, and wait for it to cool down to form the metal product we need. This process is simple, efficient, adaptable, and relatively low-cost, and is widely used in many industries such as machinery, automobiles, aerospace, and construction.
The entire sand casting process is actually not complicated, but each step is full of details and technical content:
1. Modeling: Use special sand to make a casting mold. These sands must be resistant to high temperatures, have good air permeability, and can firmly maintain the shape of the molten metal.
2. Casting: When the mold is ready, pour the molten metal into it and wait for it to cool and solidify.
3. Demolding: After cooling, break the sand mold and take out the molded casting. After polishing and trimming, a complete metal product is born!
Doesn't it sound amazing? A handful of seemingly ordinary sand can actually become a key material for manufacturing precision metal parts!
As a professional sand casting manufacturer, our factory has an advanced automated casting production line. From molding, casting to cleaning, every link is strictly quality controlled. The high-strength casting sand we use can not only withstand the impact of high-temperature molten metal, but also ensure the smooth surface and higher precision of the casting.
Our foundry is equipped with high-precision testing equipment to monitor the quality of sand casting in real time and ensure that every product meets international standards (such as ISO, ASTM, etc.). Whether it is mass production or personalized customization, we can meet the different needs of customers.
Compared with other casting processes (such as precision casting and pressure casting), the biggest advantage of sand casting is low cost, wide application range and short delivery cycle. Whether it is small-scale trial production or large-scale mass production, sand casting can provide stable and reliable solutions. In addition, sand casting is suitable for a variety of metal materials, such as cast iron, cast steel, aluminum alloy, copper alloy, etc., covering almost all materials required for industrial production.
Our sand casting products have been exported to Europe, America, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and other countries and regions, and are widely used in automotive parts, machinery and equipment, shipbuilding, engineering machinery and other fields. Not only that, we also provide a full range of after-sales services, from product consultation to technical support, to ensure that every customer's needs can be responded to quickly.
