Steel castings are a kind of products in precision casting. The main materials are stainless steel, copper alloy, titanium alloy and other types of metal materials. All industries like to use precision steel castings made of stainless steel.

Some stainless steel precision castings in precision steel castings also need to be corrected in production. There are two commonly used methods: hot correction and cold correction.

Steel casting

The thermal correction of precision castings can be divided into local heating and overall heating. For different composition contents of stainless steel precision cast steel, some of them are difficult to carry out cold correction, which can be carried out by hammering or using a press after local heating. The thick wall large castings shall be subject to overall heating correction, and the deformation to be corrected shall be measured before correction. Then it is placed on the sizing block in the heat treatment furnace, and the appropriate block is placed on it. The appropriate load is applied on the part to be corrected. During the heat treatment, the deformation is corrected with the help of the load.

Cold straightening is to use hammering, manual press, jack, friction press or hydraulic press to rectify the stainless steel precision castings at normal temperature. It is applicable to medium and small thin-walled castings with simple geometry and small deformation, as cast aluminum alloy castings with large deformation but good plasticity, and as quenched aluminum alloy castings with large deformation. When the casting structure is complex, it can be corrected with the help of the correction mold.

The physical and chemical properties of precision steel castings are excellent, especially suitable for making castings with complex shape or large volume and some difficulties. The precision steel casting is a close product, which can be directly used after processing, reducing the trouble of machining complex castings.
